OUTREACH PROJECT INFORMATION
|
PLAN X was one of our previous projects and may give you an idea of what it is we get up to. PLAN X included workshops, films, a space rocket, a clatter of aliens and an exhibition. As a pre-exhibition event, a 14ft rocket (created by artists and young people) was dropped from a 140 ft crane releasing a number of interesting aliens onto the wasteland behind Dunnes car park. The aliens travelling in the rocket more or less survived, although there were a few injuries. The PSNI came along to investigate this crash from another world and deemed the aliens 'loopy but harmless'. There were no arrests. Once the smoke had cleared, we took the rocket debris and the surviving aliens back to the gallery to install them along with films documenting the process as the PLAN X exhibition. Plan X culminated in a high profile exhibition, illustrated catalogue, billboards and public discussions. Plan X featured collaborations by the Ardoyne Healthy Living Centre, Ruth McCullough, Stadium Youth, Brendan Jamison, Newington Residents Association, Martin Carter, Cornerhouse Community Centre, Paddy Bloomer, Ardoyne Young Women's Group, Nicky Keogh, Eimear Quiery, Shane Callan, Kerry Plummer and Deirdre McKenna. |
